Free, open-source alternatives to Termius
An SSH client that saves hosts, keys and port forwards, with SFTP file transfer and sync across devices.
Termius is an SSH client for desktop and mobile. It keeps a list of saved hosts with their credentials and keys, opens terminal sessions in tabs, manages port forwarding and transfers files over SFTP, and can sync its vault between devices through a Termius account.
The open-source apps below do the same job of managing and opening remote connections from a Mac. Netcatty is closest in layout, with a vault of hosts, port forwarding and a dual-pane SFTP browser. Tabby is a terminal with built-in SSH profiles, serial connections and an SFTP panel, and electerm combines a terminal with SSH, SFTP, Telnet and serial sessions plus remote desktop protocols. All three store connection profiles locally, and sync depends on each app's own options.
