About codexU
codexU reads the usage data that Codex and Claude Code keep on your Mac and shows your five-hour and seven-day quota windows, reset times, token totals and today's tasks. It also includes a model usage trend, a project ranking and tool and skill counts. It suits developers who use Codex or Claude Code every day and want quota status without opening a terminal or a browser. The README says the data is processed locally and not uploaded.
It requires macOS 13 or later. Quota figures need the Codex app installed and signed in; Claude Code statistics are optional. The release has separate DMGs for Apple silicon and Intel. It is not on the Mac App Store and is not notarized, so the first launch needs approval under Privacy & Security, Open Anyway. codexU is an unofficial tool and is not affiliated with OpenAI.
