About Easy Write
Easy Write translates or rewrites text you have selected in another app, using Apple's on-device model from the menu bar or a shortcut. You can pick a language and a formal or informal tone, save your own writing instructions as shortcuts, and check the result before it replaces the selection. A reader pane shows a translation next to the original. It suits people writing in a second language or polishing messages without sending the text to a cloud service.
It requires macOS 26 or later on Apple silicon, with Apple Intelligence turned on and its model ready. It needs Accessibility permission to read the selection and send the replacement, and only apps that expose their selected text to macOS work reliably. The DMG is Developer ID signed and notarized. Optional update checks contact the website and GitHub, but the app does not send selected text. History is off by default, and users of 1.x need one manual upgrade to 2.0.
