About Glim
Glim is a file viewer for documents, data and code. You open a folder with Command-Shift-O and its files open as tabs in one workspace: Markdown with Mermaid diagrams, JSON trees, CSV tables, PDFs, images, Office documents and source code. Ordinary UTF-8 text can be edited, and changes save to the original file. Glim also browses SQLite tables in read-only snapshots and extracts ZIP archives to a new folder. It suits people whose project folders mix notes, data and code and who want to read them without a separate app for each.
It runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. The README does not state a minimum macOS version. The project says its Mac downloads are not notarized by Apple and are only ad-hoc signed, so the first launch may need to be approved under System Settings, Privacy & Security. Markdown can fetch remote images, and HTML previews can run scripts and load network content. Usage statistics are sent only when enabled in Settings. Complex Office layouts can differ from the original files.
