About icns Creator
icns Creator converts a PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF or PSD image into an .icns file, or into an .iconset folder with every size macOS expects. You can add a shadow, rounded corners and padding in the style of Apple's icon grid, or export plain icons. It is for designers and developers who make app icons and want a quick local tool that does not need a subscription.
The app requires macOS 11.0 or later according to the README. It is signed only with a development certificate and is not notarized, so macOS blocks the first launch. Open it once, then allow it under System Settings, Privacy & Security, where an Open Anyway button appears. The README's first option turns Gatekeeper off system-wide; the per-app Open Anyway step is enough.
