About Leaf
Leaf opens one book per window. Double-click an EPUB, MOBI or AZW3 file in Finder and it reads like a Kindle: you can change the font, size, spacing, margins, theme and layout, see time left in the chapter or book, jump to a percentage or location, search the text and read footnotes in place. It remembers your place even after a file is renamed or moved, and it has no import step or account. It suits readers who want one book at a time rather than a library manager.
It needs macOS 15 or later. The app is not notarized by Apple, so the first launch needs Open Anyway under Privacy & Security. MOBI and AZW3 files must be DRM-free. Highlights, bookmarks and a dictionary are on the roadmap, and PDF is not planned. The reader bundles foliate-js, an MIT-licensed rendering library, and its notice is included in the assets folder. Leaf itself is MIT-licensed.
