About Maya
Maya turns a raw screen recording into a short presentation clip. You drop in an .mp4 or .mov, and it places the video in a device frame, with recent iPhone Pro models in their color variants, an 11-inch iPad Pro, a 14-inch MacBook Pro, a generic bezel or no frame, on a canvas with the aspect ratio, background and shadow you choose. A timeline lets you trim, speed sections up or slow them down between 0.25× and 4×, add animated zooms with a choice of easing curves, and place tap markers with ripple, pulse or ring effects.
It is aimed at app developers and marketers who need clips for social posts, product pages or in-app tutorials. Exports are H.264 MP4 files with a background, or HEVC .mov files with an alpha channel when the background is turned off, for layering over other footage.
Maya requires macOS 26.3 or later and is a universal, sandboxed app that is signed and notarized. It edits existing recordings and does not capture the screen itself.
