About Mojito
Mojito autocompletes shortcodes in any app. A single colon followed by a name picks an emoji, a double colon finds symbols such as arrows and currency signs, and a triple colon searches GIFs from KLIPY, which are pasted where you are typing. It learns your favourites, converts emoticons such as :D, and skips apps that have their own shortcodes, such as Slack, Discord and terminals. It suits anyone who uses emoji and symbols often.
It requires macOS 14 or later. First launch walks you through granting Accessibility and Input Monitoring. Anonymous daily usage counts are optional: you are asked once and can opt out at any time, and the README links the public dataset. GIF searches send only your search words and country to KLIPY. The project is free and open source under AGPL-3.0. The upstream materials do not say whether the DMG is notarized.
