About Pippa
Pippa is an assistant app for Mac that works on your files. It explains what a letter asks of you and by when, quoting the sentence that says so. It combines photos and scans into one PDF, finds and sorts files by their contents, and writes unsent Mail drafts for you to review and send. When asked, it can read and add Calendar entries and reminders. Her built-in AI runs on the Mac, and no account is needed.
It needs an Apple silicon Mac with macOS 15 or later; Intel Macs are not supported. The built-in AI asks before a one-time download of about 5.4 GB. Macs with less than 16 GB of memory are told to use an online AI instead. An online AI, such as ChatGPT or your own API key, is optional, and when it is switched on your conversations go to that provider. The disk image is signed and notarized. The README warns that local AI can miss names, amounts and dates, so check them against the original.
