About Sorcerer
Sorcerer is a sandbox for what-if questions. You write a question, summon a cast of characters with their own roles, goals and memories, and watch posts, replies and reactions develop round by round. You can pause the run, inject an event, ask a character why it holds a view, or fork the world at an earlier round and compare outcomes. A report links each finding back to the posts behind it. It suits people who want to test a product idea or a scenario before they commit to it, and it is meant for generating hypotheses, not forecasts.
It has no model of its own. It drives the Claude, Codex (ChatGPT), Gemini or Ollama tools already on your Mac, or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint such as LM Studio, and remote providers may charge per call. It needs macOS 15 or later and ships as a universal DMG for Apple silicon and Intel. The DMG is not notarized: it is ad-hoc signed, so the first launch must be allowed in System Settings before it opens.
