Unfoldly

Unfoldly indexes the folders you choose (documents, spreadsheets, slides, images, audio, video and notes) and lets you search them by description rather than by file name. You can ask follow-up questions about a file it finds, such as summarising a document or asking about a recording. It is aimed at people with large, messy folders who remember what a file was about but not what it was called.

The README describes the current public build as a signed, notarized macOS app. It does not state a minimum macOS version, and it describes the app as early beta. Indexes, downloaded models, chat history and logs stay in the app's local data folder; the app may still go online to download models or releases. Uninstalling removes indexes, models and settings through a script in the repository, and leaves your original files in place.
