About Vesktop
Vesktop is a replacement desktop app for Discord. It loads the Discord web client in its own Electron shell instead of the official app, and ships with Vencord, a client mod that adds a plugin list and custom themes. The project describes it as lighter than the official client and says it blocks Discord's own telemetry and limits what Discord can reach on your system.
You sign in with a normal Discord account. The macOS download is a universal build for Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Global keyboard shortcuts are not supported yet.
Client modifications break Discord's Terms of Service. Vencord's own documentation says it knows of no bans for using it, but recommends against client mods if losing your account would be a serious problem.
