Rename your fork. Factual statements ("based on Blave Agent") are fine. The `openclaw` name that appears in file names, API paths and machine paths (openclaw.json, /openclaw/... endpoints, patches/, SSH hosts) is the name of an earlier framework. Those locations really carry that name on disk and on the API, so the code and docs spell it as it is. The Blave Agent runtime in runtime/ has been first-party since 2026-07-25 (see runtime/CHANGELOG.md) and is unrelated to that product. The desktop shell in shell/ launches — but does not redistribute — third-party agent CLIs (Claude Code, Codex) that the user installs and authenticates themselves. Electron, used by the shell at build time, is MIT licensed.
