1Password keeps passwords and other secrets in encrypted vaults, fills them into apps and browsers, and syncs them across devices. The open-source password managers below do the same core job: they store credentials in an encrypted vault that only your master password or key unlocks.
They split into two approaches. Bitwarden and Padloc sync through an account, with a hosted service or a server you run yourself, Proton Pass syncs through a Proton account, and Rowel keeps a local vault with optional sync through cloud storage you choose. KeePassXC, MacPass, Strongbox and KeeWeb open KeePass database files, which you keep locally or sync with any file service, so you can switch between these apps without exporting your vault.
