Free, open-source alternatives to Arc

Arc is a web browser that moves tabs into a vertical sidebar, groups them into Spaces for different contexts, and adds pinned tabs, folders and split view. Its developer has announced that Arc for macOS and Windows will stop working on December 22, 2026.

The open-source browsers below offer the same sidebar-and-workspaces way of browsing. Zen Browser is organised around vertical tabs, workspaces and split view, and Floorp adds workspaces and sidebar panels to the Firefox platform. Both are based on Firefox, so they use Firefox add-ons rather than Chrome extensions.
