About Blankie
Blankie plays ambient sounds such as rain, waves, a fireplace or a fan, and lets you mix several at once with a volume slider for each. Mixes can be saved as presets with their own colours and artwork, exported and shared, and you can import your own recordings, which are loudness-matched to the built-in set.
A sleep timer and Quick Mix cover the common cases, and the Mac app works with media keys, Control Center, Spotlight, Siri and Shortcuts. The same app runs on iPhone and iPad, where it also supports CarPlay and widgets.
Blankie is free with no in-app purchases on the Mac App Store, and notarized builds are also posted on GitHub, though those do not update themselves. It needs macOS 26 or later. The code is MIT-licensed, while the name, logo and icons are reserved by the author and the bundled sounds carry their own open licenses.
