About Convoy
Convoy downloads each file over several connections at once, from one to sixteen, and can pause and resume transfers, including after you quit. Its browser extensions for Chromium and Firefox send downloads to the app and add a button over videos on a page. It also handles HLS and DASH video streams and, through yt-dlp, YouTube. It suits people who download large files or video and want a native alternative to the browser's own downloader.
It needs macOS 14 or later and runs on Apple silicon and Intel. Convoy is not notarized, so macOS asks you to approve it once under System Settings, Privacy & Security, with Open Anyway. Safari is not supported, and the README notes the Mac App Store does not allow apps in this category.
