About Xtreme Download Manager

Xtreme Download Manager (XDM) splits each download across several connections and resumes broken ones. A browser extension hands downloads and detected videos to the app, and it can save HLS and DASH streams, merging audio and video into an MP4 without ffmpeg. It also has a command-line mode for downloading from a terminal. It suits people who regularly fetch large files or stream videos, on Windows, macOS or Linux.

XDM 9 is a rewrite that the README describes as in active development, so expect changes between releases. The Mac builds are for Apple silicon and Intel. The README says the project does not support YouTube or DRM-protected content. The README does not state a minimum macOS version.
