About LiteMD
LiteMD edits Markdown files as you write them. Headings, links, code, formulas and Mermaid diagrams take their rendered form in the editor, and a split view shows source and output side by side. Notes stay as plain .md files in a folder you pick, with wiki links, an outline and full-text search. It also converts documents to and from Markdown, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDF, EPUB and HTML, so it suits people who write in Markdown and still receive or send Office files.
It needs macOS 15 or later and runs as a universal binary on Apple silicon and Intel. The disk image is signed and notarized, so it opens without the first-launch workaround. Backup to S3-compatible storage is optional and needs your own bucket. The interface is available in English and Simplified Chinese.
