About Quillite Markdown

Quillite Markdown is an MIT-licensed desktop app for reading and editing local Markdown files. It is built with Go and Wails rather than Electron. It offers live-rendered editing, a source view and split previews, renders charts and equations, and exports documents to Word, PDF and HTML. It suits people who keep long documents, technical notes or READMEs as plain files and do not want an account.

The universal DMG runs on Intel and Apple silicon, and its bundle declares macOS 10.13 or later. The project says it has no Apple Developer ID, so the app is not notarized and Gatekeeper may warn on first launch; allow it in System Settings. Updates are checked and installed from the project's own website.
