About Tusk
Tusk is an unofficial, open-source desktop client for Evernote. It shows your notes in a window with note navigation, local and global keyboard shortcuts, focus and compact modes, and dark, black and sepia themes. Notes can be exported as Markdown, HTML or PDF, and the app can switch to Yinxiang, the Chinese Evernote service. It suits people who keep their notes in Evernote and want a customisable desktop client with keyboard-driven navigation.
Sign in with an Evernote or Yinxiang account. The project is not affiliated with Evernote. The latest GitHub release, v0.23.0, dates from 2019, the README warns that the Homebrew cask may lag the newest build, and the repository's last commit is from March 2026. The project docs do not list a minimum macOS version or notarization status for the download.
