Free, open-source alternatives to Raycast

Raycast is a command bar for the Mac: one hotkey opens a search field that launches apps and also hosts built-in tools such as clipboard history, snippets, window management and extensions for other services. The open-source apps below follow the same pattern of a single keyboard palette that combines app launching with everyday utilities.

SuperCmd is the closest match, since it implements the Raycast extension API and can import a Raycast settings backup. Sol, Tinycast and Trace add window management and quick links next to the launcher, look keeps its search index and clipboard history on the Mac, and ZTools follows the plugin-market model of the uTools launcher.
