About Caffeinator

Caffeinator keeps a Mac awake from a menu bar icon, for a set time, until it is turned off, or while chosen apps are running or a call is in progress. It can also put the Mac to bed on a schedule by sleeping, locking, logging out, restarting or shutting down. A screensaver of sky, space, physics and math scenes keeps the Mac awake while it plays. It suits people who need a Mac to stay up through renders, downloads or presentations.

It requires macOS 14 or later and runs natively on Apple silicon and Intel. The build is not notarized, so approve the first launch in System Settings > Privacy & Security, or clear the quarantine flag with xattr. The README says the app is free, with no ads, no account and no analytics. Its only network use is fetching public data for the screensaver, and scenes that show the sky or satellites use your location after macOS asks once.
