About Audio Priority Bar

Audio Priority Bar keeps one ranked list of your headphones, speakers and microphones, and switches to the highest-ranked device that is connected. A short notice under the menu bar icon names the device it picked, and a shortcut mutes the microphone in any app. Profiles keep a separate device order for each setup, paired Bluetooth speakers and headphones can be connected from the panel, and a Jabra headset on a Link dongle shows its battery and controls. It suits people who move between a desk, headphones and speakers and do not want to change the output by hand.

It needs macOS 14 or later and runs on Apple silicon or Intel. The app is not notarized: it is signed with its own certificate rather than an Apple Developer ID, so the first launch has to be allowed in System Settings under Privacy & Security. The Jabra controls were tested on one headset model, and the app collects no data. It checks GitHub once a day for updates, which can be turned off in Settings.
