About CopySight
CopySight copies text from anywhere on the screen. Press its shortcut (⌃⌘2 by default), drag over a region, and the recognized text lands on the clipboard, ready to paste. Recognition runs on the Mac with Apple Vision, in automatic, English or Spanish mode, with line breaks kept and language correction when enabled. The captured image stays in memory and is never saved or uploaded.
It suits anyone who needs text from images, videos or windows that do not allow selection, and who wants a tool with no account and no network code.
Requires macOS 14 or later; the direct DMG is universal (Apple silicon and Intel). It is Developer ID signed and notarized, and the first capture asks for Screen Recording permission. The same app costs $0.99 once on the Mac App Store, which the README recommends; the direct DMG is free. With automatic copy on, the recognized text sits on the shared clipboard, where other apps can read it.
