Evoo

Evoo is a dictation app for macOS. Hold fn, speak, and release; the text, with punctuation and simple cleanup applied, is typed at the cursor in whatever app has focus. Speech recognition and text cleanup run on the Mac, and the README says there are no accounts or API keys. It suits people who dictate into several apps and want the audio to stay local. Voice commands, a personal dictionary and a searchable dictation history are included.

Requires an Apple silicon Mac on macOS 14 or later. The app is not signed with a paid Apple Developer ID, so on first launch macOS refuses to open it until you choose Open Anyway in System Settings under Privacy & Security (or use the one-line install in the README). Some European languages and the Hinglish add-on are marked beta; the Hinglish add-on is a 133 MB download. The optional AI model downloads on first use and is not bundled with the app.
