About ParrotFlow
ParrotFlow turns speech into text on your Mac with local models for its built-in steps, and lets you shape the result with rules. A rule is a pattern and its replacement, or a small script you write, for example turning a PR number into a link or a spoken price into digits. It can also read the window you dictate into, so names and terms are spelled as they appear on screen. That reading needs Accessibility permission and can be limited to terminals and chat apps. It suits people who dictate into code, notes or chat and want their own formatting rules.
It needs Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later; the README gives about 2 GB of disk and 1 GB of memory. The build is notarized. Cloud language models are optional: a rewrite step runs on whichever model you configure, local or in the cloud.
