About Imagin RAW
Imagin RAW browses and sorts photo folders on local disks, external drives and SD cards without an import step. It supports star ratings and colour labels, written to XMP sidecars for RAW files or embedded in JPEG and HEIC files, along with a reject workflow, duplicate review, SD-card ingest and Spotlight-backed search. It is aimed at photographers who want a lighter alternative to Adobe Bridge for culling a shoot.
It requires macOS 14.6 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel. The zip from the GitHub release is signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized, so it opens without a security override. The app does not update itself from the zip. The author also sells the same app on the Mac App Store, which is paid and updates automatically. The README notes that thumbnails show the camera's embedded JPEG rather than Camera Raw-adjusted previews.
