About Tethersnap
Tethersnap imports captures from Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch over USB using the baseline PTP protocol, so no drivers are needed. It also reads PS5 and PS4 captures from a USB drive the console wrote to, Switch SD cards and camera cards. Captures are grouped by game, date or folder, RAW files are exported untouched, and a command-line tool ships alongside the app. It suits people who want clips and screenshots off a console or a camera card without a phone-style file bridge. iPhones and iPads appear in the sidebar but are untested.
It needs macOS 15 or later, and a full-data USB-C cable for USB sources. The release DMG is Developer ID signed and notarized, and the app binary is arm64 only. The project is independent and not affiliated with Nintendo, Sony or Valve. The Switch 2 support was tested on specific firmware versions, so newer system updates may behave differently.
