About Presspeech

Presspeech turns speech into text at the cursor. You hold the Right Option key, speak, and release it to paste the sentence into the app you are using. Recognition runs on the Mac, so audio and transcripts stay on the machine, and the app has no account or subscription. It suits drafting email, messages or notes by voice.

It requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later. The app is signed and notarized by Apple. On a clean install it asks before its first speech-model download; the README warns that an existing install with a missing model may download one at launch. If focus has moved to another window, it skips automatic paste and leaves the text on the clipboard for you to paste.
