Screenshot tools

The built-in screenshot shortcuts capture the screen, a window or a selection, with basic markup afterwards. Dedicated screenshot tools add an editor for arrows, text and blur, scrolling capture of long pages, text recognition and quick ways to copy, save or share the result.

Several apps here also record the screen. Look at how captures are named and where they are saved, whether the editor can blur sensitive details before sharing, and whether any upload or sharing feature is optional and under your control.
