Wallpaper Engine for Mac

Wallpaper Engine plays animated wallpapers on the Windows desktop. You can animate your own images, use videos or web pages as wallpaper, or pick from the hundreds of thousands of wallpapers people share on the Steam Workshop, and it pauses the animation while you play a game. It is sold on Steam and runs only on Windows.

On the Mac, WallpaperMachine is the most direct replacement: it plays Wallpaper Engine's own scene, video and web wallpapers from the Workshop as your desktop, though downloading them and using scenes needs a Steam account that owns Wallpaper Engine. LiveWallpaper, Wallnetic and Phosphene play your own video files as an animated wallpaper instead; Wallnetic can set a different one on each display, and Phosphene also covers the lock screen.
