About AirPoise

AirPoise uses the motion sensors inside supported AirPods to do two things from the menu bar. It reminds you when your head drifts forward or tilts, and it maps head gestures, such as a double nod or a look to the side, to actions like play/pause, switching desktops or running a Shortcut. The README says nothing is uploaded: there is no camera, no account and no analytics. It suits people who sit at a desk for long stretches and want posture feedback without a camera.

It requires macOS 14 or later and AirPods Pro, AirPods 3, 4 or Max, or Beats Fit Pro, worn and set as the Mac's audio output. Original AirPods and AirPods 2 have no motion sensor and do not work. The author tests on Apple silicon. The DMG is not notarized, so the first launch has to be allowed: right-click AirPoise and choose Open. It reads head position only, not your whole spine.
