Biscotti records the Mac's microphone and system audio during a meeting, so it works with apps such as Zoom, Teams, Meet, FaceTime and Slack without joining the call as a participant. It turns the recording into a transcript split by speaker, uses your calendar to suggest when to start and to match names, and writes a summary with action items and a meeting title. Notes can be written in Markdown and linked to the moment they were taken. It is for people who want meeting notes that stay on their own Mac.
The app needs a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later, and the project recommends 16 GB of RAM. The transcription, speaker and summary models run on the Mac, and they must be downloaded before the app can work offline. The project describes the app as free, with no account and no subscription. Its license is source-available rather than open source.
