About Sitch
Sitch is an editor for marking up screenshots before you share them: a freeze-frame capture, then tapered arrows, boxes, ellipses, text and a highlighter. Sensitive areas can be pixelated, blurred, filled or striped, and the redaction is flattened into the image. It is aimed at people who used to reach for Skitch and want a free, open-source replacement that keeps the screenshot on the machine.
The Mac app requires macOS 15 or later and is a universal build for Apple silicon and Intel, signed and notarized by Apple. It lives in the menu bar and asks for Screen Recording permission on first launch, which macOS requires for any screenshot tool. The README says it has no account, no telemetry and no network calls, and the project is MIT-licensed with no paid tier.
