About Swamp Converter
Swamp Converter is for people who work with footage, pictures, PDFs and audio and want to process a file without opening a window. Drag a file, tap a key, and a wheel opens under the pointer; dropping the file on a sector starts the conversion or compression. A Studio window offers the full set of options, a before-and-after preview and a queue. A shortcut over a web page or a Finder selection can also download videos from sites that yt-dlp supports, up to 8K.
It requires macOS 26 or newer on an Apple silicon Mac. The app is signed ad hoc rather than with a paid Developer ID and is not notarized, so the first launch needs Open Anyway under System Settings, Privacy & Security, and macOS may ask for Accessibility and Automation again after an update. The README says the app has no telemetry and no account, and that the network is used only by the downloader, after you agree.
