About Mute
Mute runs in the menu bar and turns on Do Not Disturb while the microphone or camera is in use, then turns it off when they stop. It reads the microphone and camera signals directly, so it works with any call app, including Zoom, Teams, Meet and FaceTime. It is for people who want calls to keep notifications quiet without switching Focus by hand. Setup is a short onboarding step that installs two macOS Shortcuts used to toggle Focus.
Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later. The direct download is a notarized DMG on the releases page, which the author states and the v2.0.2 build confirmed. The app is also on the Mac App Store, where it is not available in the EU, and it can be installed with Homebrew.
