About Ledge
Ledge uses the MacBook notch as a live status area, in the spirit of the iPhone's Dynamic Island. It shows now playing with controls, a timer, your next calendar meeting with a camera preview before a call, weather, notes, Keep Awake and volume or brightness readouts. It stays quiet until something changes. It suits MacBook users who want glanceable status in the notch and no separate menu bar widgets.
It needs a MacBook with a notch running macOS 26 or later. The README says the app is signed and notarized and has no account and no telemetry. Keep Awake with the lid closed needs a small helper that runs as root; the README says it is installed only when you turn that option on and removed when you turn it off.
