About cmdX
cmdX lets you cut files in Finder with Cmd+X and paste them with Cmd+V, so the paste moves the item instead of copying it. Without it, macOS needs the Cmd+C then Cmd+Option+V sequence. The app is a universal build for Intel and Apple silicon, and the README says it has no tracking, no analytics and no account. It suits anyone who moves files in Finder often.
It requires macOS 14.6 or later, as declared in the app bundle, and Accessibility permission under System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility. The DMG is not notarized: the app is signed with an Apple Development certificate, so the first launch has to be allowed in System Settings.
