About Reprise

Reprise records calls. It notices when a call starts in Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, FaceTime and other apps, asks whether to record, and captures your microphone and the Mac's sound into one file, with optional screen recording. It can save each side separately, mark moments, trim recordings and name a call after its calendar event. Each call is a folder of ordinary audio and text files in ~/Movies/Reprise. Transcription is optional: cloud services you configure receive the audio, while a local server such as Refrain keeps it on your Mac. It suits people who need a record of calls they take on the Mac.

Requires macOS 26 or later on Apple silicon. The README says the ZIP is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, and that the app updates itself. On first start it asks for Microphone and System Audio Recording permission; Screen Recording is needed only for screen capture. The README also warns that many countries require everyone's consent before a call is recorded.
